Mary T. Glasgow, 87, of Junction City, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. Mary was born January 11, 1931 at Ft. Meade, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Agnes (Carroll) Howard. Mary grew up in Junction City and attended St. Xavier Catholic Schools, graduating from high school in the Class of 1949.

After high school, she attended Marymount College to earn her teaching certificate. She taught all grades in a one-room country school for many years in southern Geary County. She substitute taught later in her career at the St. Xavier Catholic schools. She also had worked in the kitchen at Good Samaritan Senior Living, and she and her husband owned and operated Adam's Place in Junction City.

Mary married Robert D. Glasgow, Sr. on December 30, 1953 in Junction City. As he was in the U.S. Army, they had many assignments with his military career. They were stationed in Germany, Japan, Okinawa, and numerous assignments in the United States.

Mary was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church, and was a member of the Circle 4 of the church.

Survivors include: 6 sons, John E. Glasgow, Junction City, Bob D. Glasgow and his wife Melissa, St. Augustine, Florida, Richard L. Glasgow and his wife Esther, Overland Park, Donald A. Glasgow and his wife Lori, Loveland, Colo., David W. Glasgow and his wife Susan, Enid, Okla., and Jim J. Glasgow and his wife Shelly, Olathe; 2 daughters, Mary K. Reeves, Junction City, and Martha Courville, Topeka; a brother, Richard Howard, Boise, Idaho; 2 sisters, Pat Kramer, Junction City, and Della Ehlers, Grand Junction, Colorado; 28 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Glasgow, Sr. on January 10, 1998.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ft. Riley Post Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday, July 1st, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Junction City Funeral Chapel. A parish rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
