We have so many special memories with this beautiful couple, from grilling, hanging out watching football, and our best couples trip ever (cruising to Half Moon Cay And The Bahamas) Our fun times will never be the same without “BERT” she was the life-line to our room, always a funny joke with that beautiful smile and laugh. Bert Bert as I called her was a sharp shooter and didn’t have to throw no punches at you, she said what she meant and meant what she said, a strong woman with a backbone. (I know one other thing I’m gonna miss about BERT is her fried chicken, cabbage with the crispy bacon and her german potato salad) she was a awesome cook. Bert Bert we love you and gonna miss you soooooooooo very much, just take your rest now and we gonna make sure Lee is alright, like we said we would. RIL
(WE LOVE YOU LEE/FAMILY 4 LIFE).
~ SGT WILLIAM & SHEEKAS BRIGHT - January 9, 2020
A Fun loving, beautiful, big hearted soul gone way too soon. She was exactly what my friend, Lee needed in his life. All of us will miss her dearly.
~ Johnny Crisler - January 5, 2020
No matter what you were always a sweet loving person who got along with anyone and brighten up the room where you’d go. Though Sh’Niya and Kennith(KJ) didn’t get a chance to see you being laid to rest, I know for sure they will always remember their Momma J. Rest on love and I’m glad you don’t have to suffer anymore ....
~ Brittny Tucker - January 4, 2020
My mother in law is being laid to rest..... my heart is breaking...... this woman has taught me so much about the world and how to be strong....I’ve known her since I was 19..... I look up to her.... this wasn’t fair for her to go so soon.... but I can only have faith in what I’ve learned in the Bible on how we will see her again.... and she won’t be sick anymore, she won’t be hurting anymore.... gone but never forgotten this beautiful soul lives on!!! I love u mama.... see u later.. ????

I met Bert in North Pole Alaska over 30 years ago. Her and I were best friends through all those years. GOD had a plan though, I was blessed to be able to spend some quality time with her twice, she came to Atlanta this past year. I have only good memories of all the time we shared together over the years. Bertha taught me how to fry the best gizzards, how to do a crab boil, and how to build a barrier in my back yard to keep those mosquitoes away and how to fry the best chicken in vegetable oil. I used to wake up at 4am and FaceTime with her because I knew she was up ever morning. Bert was my bff and I will always keep her in my heart ??. Bert May you RIH beautiful. I love you and miss you.

She is beautiful and vibrant. To know her was to love her. I thought she was the cat's meow! I love her, Bo, and Kiki. I started babysitting for them when Bo was a baby. Wild baby boy! She loved well. She used to sing "My Boo ____ you up.if I ask him to" I love all of her family. Good good woman! She was my mother's best friend. When I was young I'd say "Momma I want Bert to be your only best friend I like her the most out of all your friends!" It was a dream come true when she became one of my very best friends My I will miss her. I been missing her since she moved from wf. My condolences to her family

Mrs. Bertha was a truly, a pure soul and I was blessed to be able to experience her presence during her time here with us. The holidays won’t be the same anymore with my Uncle Lee and Mrs. Bertha not being together. But, at least she no longer has to suffer and I know she’s getting the upmost care by The Almighty King. Rest Peacefully, Mrs. Bertha.

Bert, as we called her, was a very vital part of our team. She was our "woo" here at Regions in Byram, MS. She was outspoken, dedicated, and loyal. I will miss her voice, her laugh, bubbly personality, vibrant spirit and how she showed her love towards fellow co-workers. I will always remember her for the individual she was on and off the job. She was truly a gem, simply irreplaceable.

You were an amazing, strong woman. You were always the “favorite aunt” amongst my siblings and myself; while growing up throughout the 90’s with all of the holidays and memories our families shared together- We always looked forward to seeing you. Always laughing, enjoying life ....Mother of my two closest cousins, and giver of the warmest hugs. Man! You are missed; I love you, and my entire family loves you so much. Rest In Peace my beautiful Aunt. ??

Bert was one of my favorite people! I never saw her in a bad mood. She was so much fun to work with, and had incredible work ethics. I never knew what she would say or do next, but I would trust her with my life. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She will never be forgotten, and I know that whenever I think of her it will be with wonderful memories and a smile on my face! Rest In Peace my dear friend, and know that we loved you!

Bert was my loving sister. I loved her with all my heart, even though we didn’t get to see each other as much as I would like. That being said when we were together she always brought joy into my heart. I’m going to miss you, and there will be a void that can never be filled in your absence. Rest In Peace my love.

Bert was always such a fun person to work with. She will be greatly missed by all of us here at Regions Bank and especially her family at the Byram Branch. Bert was our Whoo! and Communication lady. These traits were two of her top 5 Strengths! She was always a team player, and she was looked at as a mother to many of us because she always wanted to make sure everyone was okay. She put herself before others in everything that she did. She was very selfless. We love her dearly and will miss her tremendously. Sending out prayers to Lee her husband, and her family through this difficult time.
