Leigh Mary Parenteau Lambert, 42, of North Hampton, NH, passed away on April 17, 2021 at Salina Regional Health Center after an unexpected and tragic medical event. Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City, KS, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Leigh was born on June 11, 1978, in Biddeford, Maine to Alan and Karen (Sparkowich) Parenteau. She attended the Biddeford School district and graduated from Biddeford High School Class of 1996. After graduation, she sought higher education. She completed 4 years of study at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts, then went on to earn her Juris Doctorate at the Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. Because of her academic excellence and dedication, she was able to practice law for a number of organizations. She was a member of the BAR Association in both Maine and Massachusetts, acted as In-House Counsel for Yankee Alliance, was on the Yankee Alliance Lab Committee, and was on the Premier Lab Committee.

Leigh was highly accomplished professionally, but she also set time aside for leisure activities. She loved cooking for her friends and family, entertaining friends and family at her home, and accessorizing her home with her talent in interior design. She never missed her sons' baseball, soccer, or hockey games. Leigh was a very outgoing and friendly person. She constantly smiled and had a wonderful personality. Above all she was a loving mother, dedicated wife, thoughtful daughter and sister, and loyal friend.

Leigh is survived by her loving family: Husband of six years, Kevin Lambert of North Hampton, NH; her three children Emma, Jack, and Ryu; her parents Alan and Karen Parenteau of Biddeford, ME, and Punta Gorda, FL; her sister Kailin Parenteau of Saco, ME; her in-laws Leo and Kathy Lambert of Foristell, MO; her brother-in-law Cory (Haley) Lambert; her aunts and uncles, Beverly (Ronald) Laverriere of Biddeford, ME, and Punta Gorda, FL, Janet Sparkowich of Old Orchard Beach, ME, Lisa (Norm) Villandry of Scarborough, ME, Stefani (Dennis) Leclair of Scottsdale, AZ, Glenn (Rhoda) Parenteau of Sanford, ME, and Duane Parenteau of Biddeford, ME; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mildred and Albert Parenteau and her maternal grandparents, Theresa and Walter Sparkowich.

Celebration of Life services will be held in Somersworth, NH, and Wentzville, MO. Date, time, and location are to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Leigh’s name are suggested to the St. James School, 25 Graham St., Biddeford, ME 04005; The Rebecca Ann Morrison House, 513 S. 8th St., Salina, KS 67401; and the Kittery Little League, C/O David Evans (President), P.O. Box 884, Kittery, ME 03904.
