Merwin Strom, age 96 of Valley Center, Kansas passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Mr. Strom was born to Leonard and Ione Strom on November 19,1924 in Dwight, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as brothers Charles Stanley Strom of Enid, Oklahoma, Lonnie Strom of Dwight, Kansas and sisters Genevieve Glessner and Martha Jane Wood both of Junction City, Kansas.

Merwin moved to New Hope Services of Valley Center, KS in 1988. While there he loved to socialize and spend time with staff and his peers. His favorite activities included having his hair cut, interacting with local school children that came to visit, Bingo, Art Therapy, and Karaoke ...just to name a few. Merwin was never seen without one if his favorite hats on or drinking a mountain dew. He loved his caregivers at New Hope, and he always made them smile.

A graveside service and burial will be at the Dwight Cemetery in Dwight, Kansas on Thursday September 2, 2021, at 10am.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home in Junction City
