Rebecca Lyn Vanderpool, 64, of Junction City, passed away on January 20, 2023, peacefully in her home. A visitation will take place at Johnson Funeral Home Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Junction City Church of the Nazarene.

Rebecca was born on June 14, 1958, to Edwin and Shirley Harper (Coon) in St. Joseph, Michigan. She graduated from Hartford High School in 1976. She married Robert Vanderpool in 1983, and lived in Monroe, Michigan where they started their family. Graduating from Monroe County Community College, she earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration. She was loved from Michigan to Kansas and by everyone in between.

She is survived by her son, Aric Vanderpool of Monroe, Michigan; her mother, Shirley Smith of Wakefield, Kansas; a sister, Teri Rottinghaus of Wakefield, Kansas; two grandchildren, Riley and Brady Vanderpool of Monroe, Michigan; and her dog, Ceasar.

She is preceded by her son, Jacob Vanderpool; her father, Edwin and her sister, Kelly Pauli.
