Arlene Lacy, 72, of Kansas City, Kansas, formerly of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at her home. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2023 at Second Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow the funeral at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Second Missionary Baptist Church.

Arlene was born June 18, 1950, in Fayetteville, North Carolina the daughter of Emanuel and Thula (Brown) Roberts, Sr.

She operated a night club in Junction City, Kansas many years with Robert Lee Laster, Sr. She was also a stay at home mom where she raised her children and also took care of her brothers, sister, and two nephews. She was a member at Second Missionary Baptist Church since 1993 where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. She enjoyed attending church revivals, playing bingo, and playing cards.

Survivors include one son, Harold Daniel Lacy of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters, Thula Lene Lacy of Manhattan, Kansas and Monica Oliva Lacy of Kansas City, Kansas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Emanuel Roberts, Jr. and Arthur Paul Roberts; one sister, Bessie Glover; two nephews, Joseph Roberts and Mythias Brown; one niece, Shantrail Chaney, two great-nephew, Josiah King Roberts and Kingg Brown; four great-nieces, Faith D. Roberts, Royalty, Serenidy and Trenidy Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Jessie Roberts; and the father of her daughter, Monica Oliva Lacy, Robert Lee Laster, Sr.
