Stephen D. Templeton, 68, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Cremation will take place.

He was born on June 22, 1954, in Modesto, California to Howard J. and Wynema F. Templeton. Stephen had many interests and hobbies including fishing, camping, watching NASCAR, and going to watch the races or air shows.

Stephen married Peggy Firestone on June 7, 1980. Family was very important to Stephen; his grandchildren were his life. Stephen had a unique bond with his grandchildren and always there to support them.

Stephen is survived by his daughter, Kelley L. (Christopher) George of Junction City, Kansas; one son, Stephen (Merna) Templeton, Jr.; three grandchildren, Adam Pereira, Owen Pereira, and Addison George; six siblings, Diana Ratti, David Templeton, Paul Templeton, Paula Kent, Shirley Gray, and Linda Chrisco; and fifteen nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy ; parents; and daughter, Jennifer.
