Earlene Brooks, 77, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2023, at Valley View Senior Life Center. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church. A worship and celebration service will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Dudley officiating. Memorials in Earlene's honor may be made to Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 1010 Burke Drive, Junction City, Kansas, 66441.

Earlene was born on April 19, 1946, in Jackson, Tennessee, to John T. and Jennie Ruth (Harden) Snipes.

She married Robert J. Brooks in 1964 and they moved to Junction City, Kansas, in 1965.

Earlene received the Holy Ghost in 1978 and that's when her life changed. She was a woman of faith and loved attending church and being with the family of God. She also loved going to the prayer room every morning.

She loved her husband and children and loved talking to them about how to be saved. Earlene died peacefully surrounded by her family.

Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Brooks, of the home; two sons, Robert L. Brooks of Ogden, Kansas, and Telly Brooks of Junction City, Kansas; one daughter, Sherry Morrow of Junction City, Kansas; and a host of grandkids, great-grand kids, nieces and nephews.

Earlene was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lidy Snipes, Lizzie Chism, Pearlie Love; two brothers, Tee Snipes and Louis Snipes and his wife, Margaret; and her son-in-law, Terry Morrow.
