Mary Evelyn Lovett, age 76, of Chapman, Kansas, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Mary was born September 19, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She grew up in the Springfield, Missouri area where she graduated high school. She later obtained a cosmetologist license. Mary was an avid bowler, enjoyed reading, shopping, and adored her grandchildren.

Mary & Jerry Lovett were married and later divorced. They raised 3 children in the Chapman and Junction City area, and operated Lovett’s LP Gas in Junction City. She later owned M&M Mobile Home Court with her son, Mark.

Preceded in death by her parents, her brother James, her son, Mike and her grandson, Lozano. She is survived by her son, Mark (Megan) Lovett of Chapman, KS and daughter, Valerie (Dale) Swiderski of Olathe, KS along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her companion, Jerry Farr.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend will be greatly missed by all that knew her. If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend a gathering from 2-4 pm, Sunday, May 21st at Johnson Funeral Home in Junction City, Kansas. A family burial service will follow.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Dickinson County Home Health and Hospice. If desired, memorial contributions to Dickinson County Home Health and Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
