Carla Jaylene Allen, 73, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on November 19, 2023, at Valley View Senior Life Center. A family led service will take place at a later date.

Carla was born on April 1, 1950, to Jay and Dolores (Staufenberg) Allen in Junction City, Kansas. Shortly after leaving high school, she found herself on post working in a Fort Riley cafeteria. Working there, she was introduced to a young soldier who later became her future husband. He made sure to visit her for lunch every single day to make a good impression.

They decided to raise their family here in Junction City, Kansas and to grow old together.

She is survived by her son, Dale Allen; two grandchildren, Cory and Cody; one brother, John J. Thompson and one sister, Dee Thompson.

She was preceded by one grand daughter, Kelly Marie Allen and her loving husband, Russell D. Allen.
